Brazilian flats producer Usiminas announced its new management team, following a court decision earlier in October that ousted Ternium’s appointed CEO, Sergio Leite.

According to a company’s filing at the nation’s securities exchange commission, CVM, Rômel Erwin, Usiminas’ former CEO, will return to his position as president. Usiminas said he should remain in office until a new election by the company’s board of management is held. He will also assume the role of vice-president (VP) of technology and quality.

Ronald Seckelmann was named the company’s VP of finance and investor relations, as well as VP for the subsidiaries of the flats producer.

The former CEO, Sergio Leite, will be Usiminas’ commercial VP. Tulio Cesar Chipoletti and Takahiro Mori were named industrial VP and corporate planning VP, respectively.

Quoted by Brazilian media, Leite said he is “confident the company’s strength will prevail.”
