US structural pipe and tube exports rise 5.1 percent in February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 14,658 mt in February 2018, up 5.1 percent from January and up 8.0 percent from February 2017 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $19.1 million in February, compared to $18.3 million in the previous month and $16.3 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in February with 10,921 mt, compared to 9,893 mt in January and 9,637 mt in February 2017. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 3,389 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US structural pipe and tube exports in February.
