On Friday, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) made an affirmative preliminary injury determination in the antidumping investigation of diffusion-annealed, nickel-plated flat-rolled steel products from Japan. The vote was five to one.

As the result of the ITC's preliminary determination, this investigation will continue, and the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will conduct a full-scale antidumping investigation, with its preliminary antidumping duty determination due on or about September 3, 2013.
