The US International Trade Commission (US ITC) has announced its final results regarding the changed circumstances review of the antidumping (AD) duty order on certain cold rolled (CR) flat steel products from Japan

Accordingly, the US ITC stated that, after an analysis of the comments received, the US Department of Commerce (US DOC) found that substantially all of the domestic industry has no interest in the continued application of the AD duty on certain light gauge cold rolled flat steel products for porcelain enameling meeting the requirements of ASTM A424 Type 1. Therefore, it has decided to revoke, in part, the AD duty order on certain cold rolled flat steel products from Japan with respect to certain light gauge cold rolled flat steel.

The changed circumstances review was initiated on January 4 this year upon the request lodged on November 14, 2016, by the local producers ArcelorMittal USA LLC, AK Steel Corporation, Nucor Corporation, Steel Dynamics Inc. and United States Steel Corporation.

In July last year, the US DOC had announced the final AD duty of 71.35 percent on imports of certain cold rolled flat steel products from Japan.
