According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot rolled coils totaled 53,666 mt in March this year, up 10.7 percent from February and down 11.1 percent from March 2025. By value, HRC exports totaled $59.47 million in March, compared to $53.52 million in the previous month and $63.05 million in the same month last year.
The US shipped the most HRC to Mexico in March with 38,520 mt, compared to 35,434 mt in February and 39,472 mt in March 2025. Mexico is followed by Canada, with 14,609 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US HRC exports in March.
