US HRC exports drop 5.4 percent in June

US exports of hot rolled sheets totaled 78,899 mt in June, down 5.4 percent from May but up 51.9 percent from June 2016 levels. By value, HRC exports totaled $58.4 million in June, compared to $64.1 million in the previous month and $36.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most HRC to Mexico in June with 53,150 mt, compared to 37,292 mt in May and 31,948 mt in June 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 25,392 mt. There were no other major destinations (over 1,000 mt) for US HRC exports in June.
