According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot rolled coils totaled 48,455 mt in February this year, down 5.5 percent from January and up 2.8 percent from February 2025. By value, HRC exports totaled $53.52 million in February, compared to $55.78 million in the previous month and $45.37 million in the same month last year.
The US shipped the most HRC to Mexico in February with 35,434 mt, compared to 36,718 mt in January and 33,114 mt in February 2025. Mexico is followed by Canada, with 12,817 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US HRC exports in February.
