US extends preliminary AD review results of Turkish rebar

US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced extension of time limits for completion of preliminary results on anti-dumping duty administrative review on Turkish rebar. The administrative review on certain steel concrete reinforcing bars from Turkey was initiated on May 23, 2002, covering the period of April 1, 2001 through March 31, 2002. It covers three producers/exporters of the subject material into the US. Date for finalising the preliminary results is currently due latest by December 31, 2002. As per the regulations, DOC is to make the preliminary determination within 245 days after the last day of the anniversary month of the publication date of order. However, it is also possible that the DOC extends this 245 days up to 365 days if need be. Considering that this review involves complicated issues such as high inflation in Turkey, the DOC decided to extend the time limits until April 30, 2003.
