On Friday, the US Department of Commerce announced it would that it would place preliminary anti-dumping (AD) duties on imported wind towers from China of 20 to 73 percent. Back in May, the US DOC imposed preliminary countervailing (CVD) duties as high as 26 percent on Chinese wind tower imports.

The US DOC also placed preliminary AD duties of 53 to 60 percent on steel wind towers from Vietnam. A final decision on both imports from China and Vietnam is expected by the end of the year.
