The US Department of Commerce (DOC) released yesterday the final results of an antidumping duty administrative review and a new shipper review on certain steel concrete reinforcing bars imported from Turkey.
In May 2006, the DOC initiated an administrative review for Turkish producers Colakoglu Metalurji A.S. and Colakoglu Dis Ticaret A.S. (collectively Colakoglu) and Diler Demir Celik Endustrisi ve Ticaret A.S., Yazici Demir Celik Sanayi ve Turizm Ticaret A.S., and Diler Dis Ticaret A.S. (collectively, Diler), Ekinciler, Habas, and Kaptan, and a new shipper review for Kroman for the period covering April 1, 2005 through March 31, 2006.
In the preliminary results dated May 4, 2007, the DOC determined that certain producers/exporters made sales below normal values. In addition, the DOC also determined to revoke the antidumping duty order with respect to Colakoglu and Diler. (Please click here to see the preliminary duty margins).
Based on the comments received, the DOC has decided to make certain changes in the margin calculations. Therefore, the final results of this review differ from the preliminary results.
Apart from the changes in the margin calculation, the DOC has retained its decision to revoke the antidumping duty order with respect to Colakoglu and Diler.
The final weighted-average margin percentages existing for the period April 1, 2005, through March 31, 2006 are as follows:
