US DOC: Preliminary results of AD review on SSWR from S. Korea
On October 25, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping duty administrative review for imports of stainless steel wire rods (SSWR) from South Korea. The review covers the period September 1, 2004, through August 31, 2005. The DOC has preliminarily determined that the companies subject to this review made US sales of SSWR at prices less than normal value. Moreover, in the less-than-fair value (LTFV) investigation, the DOC determined that POSCO, and its subsidiary Changwon, were affiliated with Dongbang through a close supplier relationship and that all three companies should be treated as one entity. Accordingly, the preliminary weighted-average duty margin existing for the period September 1, 2004, through August 31, 2005, is as follows:
