On October 25, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping duty administrative review for imports of steel concrete reinforcing bars from Latvia. The review covers one Latvian producer/exporter, JSC Liepajas Metalurgs, during the period September 1, 2004, through August 31, 2005. The DOC preliminarily determined that the following duty margin exists for the aforementioned period:

Producer/exporter Margin

Joint Stock Company
Liepajas Metalurgs.......................6.03%
The current dumping duty deposit rate, which is 5.24 percent, will remain in effect until the final results are published.
