US DOC initiates CVD review on SSSS from South Korea

On August 6, 1999, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) published in the Federal Register the countervailing duty order on stainless steel sheet and strip in coils imported from South Korea. On March 22, 2006, Hyundai Steel Company filed a request to the DOC for a changed circumstances review of the CVD order on SSSS in coils from South Korea, claiming to be the successor-in-interest to INI Steel Company. In response to this request, the DOC decided to initiate a changed circumstances review of this order in order to determine whether Hyundai is successor-in-interest to INI.
