In its final review of the countervailing duty order (CVD) on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products imported from South Korea (the results of which were published on the Federal Register on January 3), the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has decided to make no change to the relevant preliminary results which it issued last September. On September 28, 2005, the DOC initiated an administrative review of the CVD order on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products imported from South Korea for the period of review January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2004. In the preliminary results dated September 11, 2006, the DOC calculated an individual subsidy rate for each of the producers/exporters subject to this administrative review. For the period January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2004, the DOC preliminarily determined the net subsidy rate for POSCO to be 0.07 percent ad valorem and the net subsidy rate for Dongbu to be 0.39 percent ad valorem, both of which are de minimis. Upon receiving no comments on these preliminary results, the DOC has decided not to make any changes in the preliminary results. Accordingly, the final results of this review do not differ from the preliminary results.
