On August 29, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping administrative review on stainless steel sheet and strip imported from Taiwan. The review covered fifteen Taiwanese producers for the period July 1, 2004, through June 30, 2005. In the preliminary results dated August 9, 2006, the DOC decided that some of the companies subject to this review made US sales at prices less than normal value (NV) and set the following duty margins for these producers:
