US DOC: Amended final results on dumping margin for Colakoglu Rebars
On March 24, the US Court of International Trade (CIT) issued its final decision on an appeal that Colakoglu in Turkey had filed against the outcome of an administrative review the US Department of Commerce had conducted concerning the antidumping margin of Colakoglu's rebars. The period of review was April 1, 2002 - March 31, 2003. The DOC had originally arrived at a final margin of 9.25 percent, later amending it to 4.91 percent. Colakoglu did not agree with the amended margin either and went to the CIT seeking to nullify this dumping rate. On March 24, 2006, the CIT upheld the amended final dumping margin of 4.91 percent for the time period under investigation. No party appealed the CIT's decision. Since all litigation in this matter has now concluded, the DOC issued its amended final results in accordance with the CIT's decision. Accordingly, the DOC amended the final results of the 2002-2003 review on the antidumping duty order on rebar from Turkey to reflect a revised weighted-average margin of 4.91 percent for Colakoglu for the period April 1, 2002, through March 31, 2003.
