According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 45,726 mt in April 2018, up 0.4 percent from March but down 10.8 percent from April 2017 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $50.9 million in April, compared to $50.5 million in the previous month and $54.1 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in April with 27,420 mt, compared to 28,576 mt in March and 29,882 mt in April 2017. Other top destinations included Canada, with 17,306 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in April.
