According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 44,981 mt in February 2019, up 0.3 percent from January and up 0.5 percent from February 2018 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $50.0 million in February, compared to $50.1 million in the previous month and $48.5 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in February with 29,396 mt, compared to 28,952 mt in January and 28,638 mt in February 2018. Other top destinations included Canada, with 11,924 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export CRC in February.
