US CRC exports rise 6.8 percent in April

US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 51,271 mt in April, up 6.8 percent from March and down 13.7 percent from April 2016 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $54.1 million in April, compared to $51.5 million in the previous month and $51.7 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in April, with 29,882 mt, compared to 26,430 mt in March and 30,262 mt in April 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 18,715 mt; and the Netherlands, with 1,807 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US CRC exports in April.
