US CRC exports rise 19.6 percent in August

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 56,437 mt in August, up 19.6 percent from July and up 11.4 percent from August 2016 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $59.2 million in August, compared to $50.1 million in the previous month and $52.5 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in August with 35,171 mt, compared to 29,709 mt in July and 27,329 mt in August 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 19,843 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US CRC exports in August.
