US, Australia conclude free trade agreement

Australia and the United States have sealed a free trade agreement to start Jan 1, 2005, Australian Trade Minister Mark Vaile said on Wednesday. US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick confirmed that the arrangements for the deal had been finalized. "This FTA will eliminate more than 99% of tariffs on industrial goods between the two countries," he said.
