Ural Steel, the steel producing subsidiary of Russian iron ore and steel producer Metalloinvest Holding (Metalloinvest), plans at the end of May-beginning of June to stop operations at its continuous billet caster No. 2 for two and a half weeks in order to carry out reconstruction work.

The reconstruction in question is directed towards increasing the quality of final products and towards cutting expenses and production costs.
