Ukrainian steel product exports down five percent in Q1

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-March period this year Ukraine exported 5.590 million mt of steel products, down five percent year on year, worth a total of $3.405 billion, down 4.5 percent year on year. Also, in the given period, Ukraine exported 565,000 mt of pig iron, up 18 percent year on year, and 200,000 mt ferroalloys, up 32 percent year on year.

In the January-March period, Ukrainian imports of steel products decreased by 16 percent year on year to 270,000 mt, worth a total of $325 million, down 29 percent year on year.
