Ukrainian exports in January-June 2006
According to the statistical data, in January-June of 2006 Ukraine exported 2.9 million metric tons of long products, up 23.3 percent, and 4.6 million metric tons of flat rolled products, down 6.3 percent compared to the same period of last year. Particularly, during the subject period, Ukraine exported 2.8 million metric tons of rebar, up 23.7 percent, 108,400 metric tons of wire rod, up 12.6 percent, 608,800 metric tons of CR flat products, down 5.2 percent, 3.88 million metric tons of HR flat products, down 6.1 percent, 4.080 million metric tons of square billets, up 29.2 percent, 2.064 million metric tons of slabs, up 31 percent, 340,900 metric tons of scrap, down 55.9 percent, and 529,000 metric tons of pig iron, up 2.5 percent compared to the same period of last year.
