Ukraine’s ore figures for January-April 2005
Ukraine's volume of foreign trade in ores amounted to $627.8 million during the January-April 2005 period. Ore exports totaled $342.5 million, while imports amounted to $285.3 million. The country's iron ore exports rose 0.8% to 6.12 million tons through the first four months of 2005. Specifically, year-to-date exports of iron-ore concentrate fell 40.4% to 773'000 tons, while sintering ore decreased 5.1% to 2.24 million tons. Pellet exports, however, rose 29.4% to 3.10 million tons. Ukraine's mining enterprises raised their production of iron ore 8% to 22.87 million tons in the first four months of 2005. This figure includes 17.59 million tons of iron-ore concentrate. In addition, Ukraine's cast iron exports rose 85.8% month on month to 87'260 tons in April.Ukraine's ore figures for January-April 2005
