In the January-June period of the current year, Ukraine registered a 24.1 percent increase year on year in its long steel product imports to 207,950 mt, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In June alone, Ukraine's long steel product imports increased by 14.2 percent month on month to 43,370 mt.
In the January-June period, Ukrainian exports of long steel products increased by 3.5 percent compared to the same period of 2011, rising to 2.931 million mt. In June alone, Ukraine's long steel product exports increased by 5.3 percent month on month to 479,870 mt.
