Ukraine’s long steel imports rise by 16 percent in January-July

In the January-July period of the current year, Ukraine registered a 16.1 percent increase year on year in its long steel product imports to 244,100 mt, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In July alone, Ukraine's long steel product imports decreased by 16.7 percent month on month to 36,120 mt.

In the January-July period, Ukrainian exports of long steel products increased by 2.8 percent compared to the same period of 2011, rising to 3.334 million mt. In July alone, Ukraine's long steel product exports decreased by 15.4 percent month on month to 406,040 mt.
