Ukraine's iron ore exports down 23.1%

According to data released by Governmental Committee of Statistics, in February 2006, Ukraine's export of iron ore down 23.1 percent, or 345,090 tons month on month to 1.15 million tons. Revenue from iron ore export decreased 24 percent, or $13.98 million to $44.21 million. Export of not agglomerated ore decreased 22.1 percent or 190,660 tons month on month to 673,570 tons. Year on year decrease in iron ore export was reported as 13 percent, or 172,100 tons in February 2006. In January-February 2006, iron ore export decreased 0.9 percent, or 24,840 tons year on year to 1.49 million tons.
