Ukraine’s flat steel product exports decrease by nine percent in October

In October this year, Ukraine's flat steel product exports decreased by nine percent compared to September and by 13 percent compared to October 2009, to 505,340 mt, valued at about $323 million.

Specifically, in October, Ukraine's exports of hot rolled (HR) steel went down by 13 percent month on month to 406,590 mt, of which 73,270 mt were delivered to Poland, 56,930 mt were exported to Turkey, and 37,120 mt were supplied to Russia.
 
The country's exports of cold rolled (CR) steel in October decreased by about 11 percent compared to September to 61,210 mt, of which 11,550 mt were delivered to Russia, 11,480 mt were shipped to Turkey, and 4,960 mt were exported to Syria.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's October exports of other flat rolled products went up by 91 percent month on month to 37,540 mt, of which 29,330 mt were delivered to Russia, 3,860 mt were shipped to Belarus, and 840 mt were directed to Moldova.

In January-October this year, Ukraine's flat steel exports increased by nine percent year on year to 5.404 million mt, valued at $3.12 billion.
