In the January-June period of the current year, Ukraine registered a 15.2 percent increase year on year in its flat steel imports to 453,980 mt, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In June alone, Ukraine's flat steel imports decreased by 28.5 percent compared to May, falling to 79,630 mt.
On the other hand, in the first six months of the current year Ukraine's flat steel exports decreased by 9.2 percent year on year to 3.586 million mt. In June alone, Ukraine's flat steel exports decreased by 15.7 percent compared to May, decreasing to 602,210 mt.
