Ukraine’s ferroalloys output down 67.2 percent in Jan-May

According to data issued for the first five months of 2009, Ukraine registered a 67.2 percent decrease year on year in its ferroalloys production to 250,700 mt.

In January-May 2009, Ukraine's silicomanganese output decreased by 63.6 percent to 176,400 mt, its ferromanganese production went down by 86.2 percent to 29,200 mt, its ferrosilicon output dropped by 37.6 percent to 40,400 mt, while its metallic manganese production increased by 51.6 percent to 4,700 mt, all compared to the same period of last year.
