Ukraine’s coking coal imports up 29 percent in January-October

According to the data issued by the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in January-October  this year the country's imports of coking coal went up by about 29 percent year on year to around 7.6 million mt, with 850,000 mt imported in October.
 
Meanwhile, in the first ten months of this year Ukraine's coke and chemicals plants received about 15 million mt of domestic-origin coking coal - down 1.3 percent year on year, with 1.58 million mt received in October.
 
In 2009, Ukraine imported nine million mt of coking coal.
