Ukraine reduces flat rolled imports

Ukraine's flat rolled imports from Russia decreased 20 percent month on month to 35,040 tons in January. Flat rolled imports of Ilyich fell 75 percent month on month to 1,880 tons in January due to high import prices. Flat rolled imports of Zaporozhstal decreased 5 percent to 25,830 tons, Donets MZ 37 percent to 2,490 tons. Azovstal's flat rolled imports also fell 38 percent to 2,490 tons. Ukraine's hot rolled coil imports fell 9 percent month on month to 19,310 tons in January. Zaporozhstal reduced hot rolled coil imports 9 percent to 19,180 tons while Ilyich cut imports 28 percent to 130,000 tons.
