Ukraine issues long steel import and export data for January

In January this year, Ukraine's long steel product exports went up by 8.5 percent compared to December, but decreased by 2.6 percent compared to January last year, totaling 527,940 mt, valued at $352.2 million.
 
Ukraine's main long steel export destinations in January were Iraq (141,480 mt), Russia (122,260 mt), Lebanon (23,700 mt), Belarus (18,700 mt), Romania (17,780 mt) and Jordan (17,670 mt).

Meanwhile, in January of the current year, Ukraine's long steel product imports amounted to 24,490 mt, down by 25 percent from December and up 16.3 percent year on year. About 68.6 percent of this volume, i.e., 16,790 mt, came from Russia, 2,490 mt came from Romania, 1,550 mt from Bulgaria, 1,420 mt from Belarus, 540 mt from Poland, and 450 mt were imported from China.
