Ukraine issues January-November production results

According to preliminary data, in the first 11 months of the current year Ukraine registered a nine percent increase year on year in its finished steel product output to 26.538 million mt and a 10 percent rise in its crude steel output to 29.733 million mt.
 
In January-November this year, Ukraine saw a seven percent increase in its pig iron production to about 24.92 million mt and 6.8 percent growth in its coke output to 16.893 million mt, both compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, during the period in question, the country's production of steel pipes went up by 6.2 percent year on year to about 1.57 million mt, while its output of hardware increased by 18 percent year on year to 247,000 mt.

In its iron ore segment, in January-November this year Ukraine mined 70.863 million mt of iron ore - up 19 percent year on year. Its iron ore concentrate production also increased by 19 percent to about 58.63 million mt, its agglomerate production went up by 14 percent to about 36 million mt, while its pellet production rose by 10 percent to 20.443 million mt, all compared to the data for January-November 2009.
