Ukraine issues Jan-Feb export data

According to the data for the first two months of 2010, Ukrainian exports of steel pipes decreased by 18.7 percent year on year to 145,620 mt, and its semi-finished steel product exports dropped by 17.1 percent year on year to 1.54 million mt.

Meanwhile, in January-February this year, the country's exports of flat rolled steel increased by 9.6 percent to 1.011 million mt and its exports of long steel went up by 43 percent to 922,030 mt, both compared to the same period last year.

In addition, in January-February, Ukraine registered an 86.9 percent increase in its pig iron exports to 243,980 mt, a 47.5 percent rise in its coke exports to 211,480 mt and a 36.5 percent growth in its scrap exports to 43,590 mt, all compared to January-February 2009.
