Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky (DMKD), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), plans to cut its production in the current month.
In particular, DMKD plans to produce 203,000 mt of crude steel, and 179,000 mt of pig iron, requiring 41,000 mt of steel scrap purchase.
In January this year, DMKD saw a 13 percent year-on-year decline in its finished steel product output to 231,000 mt, an 18 percent decrease in its pig iron production to 201,000 mt, while its crude steel production went down by 14.5 percent year on year to 225,000 mt.
