Turnover of Turkish basic metals manufacture up 31.17 percent in Dec 2009

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in December 2009 increased by 27.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and was up 15.9 percent over November.

In December, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey witnessed a rise of 31.17 percent year on year and registered a increase of 18.64 percent over the previous month.

Meanwhile, in the month in question, the monthly industrial new orders index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 17.06 percent over November and was up 29.5 percent year on year.
