Turnover in Turkish metals manufacture down 8.77 percent in June over May

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in June this year increased by 14.42 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and was up 2.68 percent over May.
 
In June, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey improved by 30.82 percent year on year and registered a decline of 8.77 percent over the previous month. In May, the index had reached its highest montly level since September 2008.
 
Meanwhile, in the month in question, the monthly industrial new orders index for the manufacture of basic metals decreased by 14.1 percent over May and was up 15.58 percent year on year.
