Turkish metals manufacture turnover up 10th consecutive month year on year

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in November 2010 increased by 16.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and was down 9.5 percent over October.
 
In November, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey improved by 30.5 percent year on year and registered a decline of 8.5 percent over the previous month. The index recorded a month-on-month decrease in November after increases in the previous two months. On year-on year basis, the index was up for the 10th consecutive month in November.

Meanwhile, in November, the monthly industrial new orders index for the manufacture of basic metals decreased by 13.5 percent over October and was up 23.5 percent year on year. On year-on-year basis, the index was up for the 10th consecutive month while it dropped on month-on-month basis following increases recorded in the previous two months.
