Turkish economy minister: Import duties on rebar will be decreased

Turkish economy minister Nihat Zeybekci has stated that the economy ministry is planning to decrease import duties on rebar in order to control the increases in rebar prices in the domestic market, according to a report from Business HT. 
 
Minister Zeybekci also stated that the ministry will take steps to increase rebar production in Turkey. According to the economy minister, the new regulations will be made with caution in order not to harm domestic producers. The new regulations are expected to take effect within a short time.
