Turkey’s wire rod exports up 54.2 percent in H1

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in June this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 28.5 percent year on year to 79,104 metric tons, down 38.5 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $36.16 million, down 29.8 percent month on month and falling by 38.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first six months, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 54.2 percent to 748,076 mt, while the revenue from these exports increased by 75.5 percent to $333.33 million, both year on year.
 
In the first half of the current year, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 134,571 metric tons. Israel was followed by the US with 100,146 metric tons and Singapore with 48,395 metric tons.
