Turkey’s stainless flat steel imports stable in February

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in February this year Turkey's stainless flat steel imports fell by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month and were stable compared to February 2012, amounting to 28,398 metric tons. The value of these imports was $72 million, decreasing by 1.7 percent as compared to January and down 1.3 percent year on year.

In the first two months of the year, Turkey's stainless flat steel imports amounted to 57,484 metric tons, decreasing 4.35 percent compared to the same period of 2012. The value of these imports was $145.4 million, decreasing by 8.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
