Turkey’s rebar exports increase 1.8 percent in January-September

In September this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 534,086 metric tons, up 13.5 percent compared to August and increasing by 5.7 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $238.85 million, increasing by 11 percent compared to August and down 10 percent year on year.

 

Meanwhile, in the January-September period of this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 4.19 million metric tons, up 1.8 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $1.97 billion, falling by 13.5 percent compared to same period of 2018.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 645,012 metric tons, up 0.29 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 627,399 metric tons and Singapore with 490,346 metric tons.
