Turkey's rebar exports down 3.28% in Jan-Nov

In November last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 697,280 metric tons, increasing by 13.96 percent year on year and up 0.61 percent from the previous month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $400.57 million, increasing by 11.32 percent compared to November 2012 and up 0.68 percent from the previous month.

On the other hand, in the first 11 months of 2013, Turkey's rebar exports stood at 7.32 million metric tons, down 3.28 percent year on year, while the total revenue from these exports amounted to $4.28 billion, decreasing by 10.07 percent as compared to January-November 2012.

In November this year, the largest rebar export destination for Turkey was Iraq, which received 150,850 metric tons, up 9.48 percent month on month. Iraq was followed by Yemen with 92,524 metric tons and Israel with 70,844 metric tons. Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of the year, Iraq remained Turkey's top rebar export destination, receiving 1.39 million metric tons, followed by the UAE which received 989,457 metric tons.
