Turkey’s rebar exports decrease by 37.3 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 311,927 metric tons, up 14.4 percent compared to December and decreasing by 37.3 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $204.31 million, increasing by 7.8 percent compared to December and down 42.2 percent year on year.


In January, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 82,187 metric tons, down 19.9 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 68,656 metric tons and the USA with 32,839 metric tons.
