Turkey’s rebar exports decrease 14.4 percent in Q1

In March this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 418,871 metric tons, up 19.2 percent compared to February and decreasing by 20.5 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $200.87 million, increasing by 25.4 percent compared to February and down 31.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the first quarter of this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 1.32 million metric tons, down 14.4 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $620.57 million, falling by 26.3 percent compared

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 337,666 metric tons, up 36.5 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 188,036 metric tons and the UK with 59,757 metric tons.
