Turkey’s monthly industrial production index continues to rise in November 2010

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in November 2010, Turkey's monthly industrial production index (2005 = 100) continued its year-on-year upward trend as in the last 14 months, increasing by 9.1 percent compared to the year-ago period. The seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index decreased by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month.

In October, Turkey's monthly industrial production index had increased by 9.8 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index rose by 3.1 percent compared to the previous month.

In November, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 17.5 percent year on year but was down 9.1 percent over October, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 4.6 percent year on year but was down by 10.2 percent compared to the previous month.
