Turkey’s interest rates remain unchanged

As expected, Turkey's Central Bank (TCMB) decided not to change short-term interest rates in September. An announcement from the TCMB confirms that the overnight borrowing rate remains at 14.25 percent and that the borrowing rate remains at 18.25 percent. Market watchers widely anticipated that interest rates would maintain their previous levels following inflation reports that were higher than market expectations.
