Turkey’s industrial production peaks in December for 2010

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in December last year Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 16.9 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index improved by 5.7 percent compared to the previous month. In December, Turkey's monthly industrial production reached its highest level achieved in 2010.
 
In December, the index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 35.56 percent year on year and was up 22.12 percent over November, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 16.56 percent year on year and was up by 24.98 percent compared to the previous month.
